Basically the Best: The Strypes

I've noticed that I have not had a band to follow lately. A lot of my favorite music is old and therefore the artists have created all of the music they are ever going to create. That takes some of the fun out of following the band, wanting to cry over the fact that they aren't touring to Hawaii, and anxiously awaiting their new albums.
But my desperate prayers for a new band to fall in love with have been answered! Behold:
Swoon...
This Irish rock group is driving me mad. It's Ross Farrelly with lead vocals, Josh McClorey on guitar, Peter O'Hanlon on bass, and Evan Walsh on drums (how much more Irish can their names get?) The Strypes are The Ramones, Dr. Feelgood, and magical guitar riffs all mixed together. Their 60's pub-rock/blues sound is enough to make anyone cry tears of relief that some people are still making this music.
And honestly, they are just adorable. All between the ages of 16 and 17, I can't come up with any reason not to love all of them.

How can you not listen to this album "Snapshot" on repeat?
Since their amazing sound just isn't enough, their videos are also super well produced because they are already signed with Mercury Records after being spotted by Sir Elton John himself.

The Strypes are my new heartthrobs without a doubt, and seeing as they're taking off so quickly with only one full album out, I'm expecting a lot from these R&B boys.

Try not to obsess over these talented cuties too hard now.
Love,
Bella

Champagne and Glitter

Winterball in January!

Wow so let's forget how long it's been since I did a blog post, shall we?

The theme of this year's winterball was Let it Snow! I searched and searched (last minute of course) for a white or light blue dress, because I love following theme, but was left empty handed. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a mannequin in a pretty, pink champagne, silk dress and I had to get it. I mean it has princess sleeves!

Dress: June & Hudson, Savvy
Shoes: Charles David
Necklace: Aldo

I am never this "girly" with my outfits. Usually something black with cat-eye liner is my go to, but I wanted to switch it up. Plus, the black velvet dress I had as backup really didn't mesh well with "Let it Snow."
This little number won me Best Dressed so I'm gonna say it was an overall success!

Until we meet again, lovelies...
